Here's some of my computers history...
My flight history...
My personal life history...
How to... Contact me ?

Hi! My name is José Júlio Pereira da Silva, I'm 20 years old (my birth date is 08/01/81, don't forget your present! ;) ). I live in V.N.Gaia, south of Porto, in Portugal.
I am currently studying Electronics And Computers in Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), 1st Year.
I started with a Timex, 1st only playing games, then making programs, not quite usefull, but that was a start... :).
A long time ago, I passed to the PC's, once again playing games, and sooner I had my 1st PC at home, it was a portable XT with 20MB of disk space and 640Kb memory (only), what a machine, ha?! I can't let this moment pass without thanking the programmer of ARJ compressor, that helped me a lot that time, and keeps helping!!
Later my father bought me a desktop (tower) PC, all in separated parts, motherboard, hard disk, floppy disk, etc... etc..., all unmounted... I have to say that was a completely mess!! The only thing that worked OK was the monitor, keyboard, and a 51/2 floppy drive! Everything else, sooner or later had trouble... It was a great experience, helped me a lot to understand how to things work, and don't to be afraid of that "black box".
The games started to be very boring, all the same old... So I had to start new things... What about programming my own things ? Looks OK to me... So I started learning Pascal with the help of my father, wow that was cool! It was like a game that you can do whatever you want!!
Later on I had my 1st modem, 2400, wow what a speed!! 10 mins for 100kb!! It was BBS's time, InterNet was almost only available to Universities, and it was very expensive. People talked in FidoNet not in real time, but like newsgroups.
I wanted to have one BBS for my own! So I started the job, it was first called Bits & Bites, it was where I met my 1st friend by "computer", Hugo Ferreira, I had a limited software for managing the BBS, so I bought PCBoard, a great program, that I could program almost everything. At that time I renamed the BBS to Black Town BBS. It was online for about 2 years, day and night.
At 1995 I 1st connected to InterNet, it was like a big black & white BBS, my 1st IP was PUUG (Portuguese Unix Users Group) now its called EUNet. It was great, I could talk with someone that was on the other side of the world, not only with the SysOp (System Operator, the owner of the BBS). I could search things in Finland, was amazing...
Now here we are with this splendid world for all of us, almost free.
I started flying with MS Flight Simulator 4, black and white... :)
But I really piloted my 1st radio controlled plane I think I was near 10 years old. It had only controls for yaw and pitch, nothing more, and it had an electric engine.
In this "world" I met one incredible person that helped me a lot, and I'll be forever grateful for all that he done for me, thank you Dr.Figueiredo. His son had one Ultralight, and that was my 1st time I took my feets out of the ground, it was an explended flight.
And when I was almost 17 me and my father started to learn how to pilot ultralights.
Now I'm currently flying a Falcon XP, canard type ultralight.
Hey! You really want to know ??? Isn't that enough ???
Ok... Ok... For the girls... I'm not currently available, sorry...
